60th Anniversary Tractor, Truck and Vintage Car Highlights
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone in the community who supported our Tractor, Truck and Vintage Car Run on Saturday 28th March. Thanks to your generosity, we raised just over £4,000. A special thank you goes to the organising committee, who wish to remain anonymous—your hard work made this fantastic event possible. We are also extremely grateful to the volunteers from the PTA, along with staff and governors, who dedicated their time to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a true team effort. A particular word of appreciation must go to the team of men who managed the parking so expertly, guiding more than 130 vehicles into our playground and car parks with impressive skill and patience. Once again, we are indebted to Gareth Gault (Donkey from Grassmen) and his son Duncan, who kindly travelled to Birches Primary School to lead the convoy in their iconic Grassmen truck. Thank you all for your incredible support. More photographs to follow soon.
Our 60th anniversary raffle took place on Saturday night and several Birches Primary School pupils drew the winning tickets. The draw was recorded on video by the PTA. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle, including Gareth Gault from Grassmen who provided a generous goodie bag.
We would also like to thank Fane Valley, Wrights Garage, Philip Crawford, John McCarthy Agricultural Machinery and NFU Mutual Armagh for donating the gifts for our goodie bags. Over 100 goodie bags were given out to participants on the day.
Thank you again to the entire Birches community for supporting the event and helping to make it memorable for all the children from the school and everyone who attended on the day.
