P4 have been learning their times two tables. They know that when we multiply a number by 2 the number is doubled. 3 x 2 = 6, double 3 is 6. Multiplication is a quicker way of adding- 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8 is the same as 2 x 4 = 8. We also know that all the multiples of 2 are even numbers - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 etc.
