Our PTA supports the life and work of the School and is open to all members of the school community.
The Association provides invaluable support to the school through organising fundraising events primarily for pupils, but also involving parents and the wider local community.
I would like to thank our PTA for all the fundraising activities which they have organised over the years as the money raised has provided extra facilities, equipment and experiences for the pupils.
Our PTA is governed by an elected committee who holds meetings throughout the year to identify long and short-term projects for its fundraising. Some of the recent events the PTA have organised are: Peter Pans take over; Christmas raffle; Easter fun day; a shared car wash with Peatlands Playgroup; and a Cinema take over morning.
We really appreciate your support in helping to fundraise and by supplying different items for your child’s class. Last year our P1 - P3 parents supplied a range of plants, flowers, tyres, flags etc. for our outdoor areas. We also had two parents very generously purchasing outdoor dungarees for the P1 to P3 classes.
There are different ways in which you can help: supporting the events organised by the PTA; making a donation to school funds; purchasing a piece of equipment; or identifying and helping to write grants.
Our PTA is registered with The Charity Commission for NI in accordance with the most recent legislation and we look forward to the many benefits it brings for our children today and in the future.
We hold our AGM in October each year and as a member of our school community, we hope you will be able to add your support to the work of the PTA.
