Internet Safety

E-Safety for Parents

Dear Parents,

We hope you find the information on our Internet Safety page interesting, informative and helpful.

We are now living in a digital world which is so different to the world we grew up in.  It is hard not to be worried or concerned when letting your child use devises which connect to the internet.  This is why we have included some information regarding E-Safety for yourselves as parents and for the children.

Safeguarding our children is always a priority at Birches Primary School. Our staff attend on-going training in the area of E-Safety and make appropriate changes to reflect new guidance. Also throughout the year the children are taught and reminded how to be a SMART and safe user of the internet.

On this page you will find:

  • Our School's Internet Safety video - This was made with the support of the SNLRA and Beam
  • Top Tips for Parents
  • Social Media Advice and Guidance
  • Documents - Parenting in a Digital World Handbook / Our School's E-Safety Policy
